The Council met at 2.30 p.m. PRESENTATION OP ADDRESS-IN-REPLY. The Speaker announced that His Excellency had been pleased to appoint a quarter to "3 o'clock for receiving the Addross-in-Repty- ' . , ~ -ir The Council accordingly adjourned lor the purpose of enabling the Speaker to attend Government House. Oh i-esuming shortly afterwards the Speaker announced that His Excellency had been pleased to receive the Address, and thanked the Council for their expression of loyalty. On the motion of Sir George Whitmore, the Council at '3 p.m. adjourned till Thursday afternoon at the usual hour.
