Edie, from Auckland and Poverty I Bay, arrived in the roadstead at an early hour yesterday morning-, and was tendered soon after arrival for mails and passengers by the launch Boojum, and by the ketch Admiral for cargo.' The launch took off the outward mails, kc, at 10 a.m., and the Waihora steamed on her course southward at 11 a.m. The Union Company s s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Hutchison, got away for Wellington at 0.30 a.m. yesterday, and arrived there at 10 a.m. this day. She will be leaving again for the North to-morrow. Tho° Union Company's s.s. Manapouri, Captain Logan, brought up in the bay from Melbourne via Southern ports and Wellington at 7 a.m. yesterday. The passengers and mails were brought ashore by the Boojum aud the cargo by the lighters Admiral and Sir Donald. The folloAving is a report of the Manapouri's passage, kindly furnished by Mr Chas. H. Hudson — Left Melbourne on tho 13th inst., arrived at the Bluff on the IStii, called at Port Chalmers on the 10th, Lvttelton on the 21st, find arrived at Wellington ou the 2_ud, but OAving to bad Aveather did not leave again unfiT2.3o p.m. on the 2'ird, arriving in port as above. Had moderate variable winds from Melbourne to the Bluff, and thick fog_-y Aveather to Wellington, thence to arrival fresh. Tho Boojum left the breastwork at 5 p.m. yesterday, Avith the ouAward passengers, and at G. 30 p.m. the Manapouri steamed for Poverty Bay and Auckland. . The steamers Wcka and Fairy arc prepared to leave for tho coast to-night, as the sea has moderated considerably. Tho steamer Go-Ahead is expected to arrive here from Wellington to-monw morning. . The Wairoa traders Manaia aud \\ airoa arc expected to get away at 12 o'clock- to-

night. The s.s. Thomas Russell left Auckland for Gisborne and Napier at 4 30 p.m. on Saturday, and is expected to arrive hero by to-morrow morning. She is announced to leave the wharf oifher return passage at 5 p.m. The Union Company's s.s. Omapero Avas to have left Wellington at 2 p.m. this day for Napier, Gisborne, Tauranga, and Auckland, and should arrive here to-morrow morning. She is announced to leave the wharf at 5 p.m. to-morroAV.
