INQUEST.
Auckland, This day.
At the inquest yesterday on the body of James Thomas, engine-driver of the ship Rangitikei, a verdict was returned of accidental droAA-ning, with a rider that gangways should have staunchions on with sides. Dr Wilkins deposed that the deceased died of apoplexy through drunkenness, and not through droAvning.
