COMMITTAL FOR ARSON.
■'■■■'"■ Nelson, This day. ■ John M'Leary, charged with attempting to set fire to his unoccupied house, was brought before the Resident Magistrate yesterday. The case lasted six hours. The prisoner declined to make any statement, and was committed to take his trial at the Supreme Court. Mr Pitt, for the accused, applied for bail, which was refused.
