Rotomahana at 4 30 p.m. on Saturday, the vessel resuming her passage for Northern ports and Sydney at 7 p.m. The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, returned from Wairoa at 9.15 p.m. on Saturday, bringing several passengers. She is to get away again at 12 o'clock to-night for the same destination. . The fore-and-aft schooner Waiwera, Capt. John Anderson, arrived from Mercury Bay yesterday, bringing some 35,000 feet of sawn timber for Mr Robert Holt, which she is now discharging at the breastwork. _ - The Union Company's s.s. Manapouri, Captain Logan, arrived in the roadstead at 7 o'clock yesterday morning from Auckland via Poverty Bay. The Boojum attended for passengers and mails, and the lighters for cargo. The following is a report of her passage:—Left Auckland on the 25th ; calied° at Gisborne on the 26th, sailing thence for Napier at 7 p.m., arriving here as given above. Had strong northerly winds with heavy rain to Gisborne, and from thence fresh westerly. The outward passengers were taken off at 10 a.m., the Manapouri steaming ou her course for Wellington, Southern ports, and Melbourne at 11.30 a.m. She reached Wellington at 8.30 a.m. this day. The launch Bella, Capt. Green, returned from Mohaka at 12.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing one passenger and a small cargo. She will be leaving again for the same destination on Wednesday night. The steamer Kiwi, due here from Wellington via the coast this morning, has not yet°arrived. She is probably availing herself of tho present westerly weather to work at Blackhead, where we understand she has about 100 tons of cargo on board to land. The s.s. Wairoa, Captain H. Anderson, steamed for Gisborue at 12 o'clock on Saturday night, and arrived there at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday, in time to catch the s.s. Rotomahana. The Wairoa was chartered by a gentleman who had missed his passage out to the Rotomahana on Saturday evening by the launch, and who was, with his wife and children, en roate for England.
