Persons desirous of establishing a Poultry Association in Napier, are requested to meet at the Empire Hotel to-monw evening. The quarter for Miss Andrew's evening class for girls begins in St. John's schoolroom on Monday next. The Union Bank has consented to receive donations towards Dr. Monzies' Testimonial Fund at its Napier, Port Ahuriri, and Waipukurau branches. Messrs. Monteith and Co.'s sale of ornamental and fruit trees, announced for Tuesday next, is postponed till further notice. At Messrs Newton and Co.'s clearing sale crockery and glassware are being sold at extremely low prices. .. Mr O'Neill, practical watchmaker, quotes prices for watches now being sold by him in Emerson street. Mr R. 11. Robinson quotes prices for several lines of ucav goods now being offered at his.great.stock-taking sale. An advertiser has board and residence for a gentleman on the hills, and accommodation for two day boarders. Persons are requested to try Walters' celebrated guinea trousers and four guinea suits ; strong and solid workmanship ; made by the best tailors in town ; great variety of tweed.
