NAPIER HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
The Committee met at 2 p.m. Present: Messrs E. "W. Knowles (in the chair) Mr F. Sutton, M.H.R., J. A. Couper, J. Sheehan, M.H.R., H. S. Tiffen, S. Camel], H. P. Cohen, Margoliouth, M. R. Miller, and His Worship the Mayor. visiting committee's report. During the past month we have paid frequent visits to the hospital, and found everything working satisfactorily, and the patients seem thoroughly satisfied with the comforts and attendance given in the institution. We beg to recommend that in future printed forms be supplied to those who wish to tender for supplies in connection with the hospital, also that the closets in connection with the children's and female wards be repaired at once; that the roof in the female ward close to tho chimney be attended to immediately, as wo , find it leaks considerably during wet weather. Tho report as read was adopted, and Messrs Knowles, Couper, and Tiffen were elected a visiting committee for next monthi ""? correspondence. From the Colonial - Secretary's Department in reference to fixing electric bells, if it 'were done out of subscriptions there would be no possible objection.—lt-was decided that Messrs Knowles and Margoliouth be appointed a sub-committee to sec to the present wards and the erection of additional bells at a cost not exceeding £2 ios. -JL (Left Sitting).
