Messrs Parsons and Small have purchased the Makatoku saw mills, and are prepared to execute orders for timber on shortest notice. Long-standing accounts owing to Mr J. S. Blair, Taradale, not paid by 20th instant, will be sued for. " Grand Flaneur's " consultation on the Spring Handicap will bo made up of 2000 members at 10s each. Mr R. Holt has a large stock of turned work always on hand, and executes wood turning at shortest notice. The British Queen will be the next steamer to bo despatched to London direct by the N.Z. Shipping Company, leaving Lyttclton on the 16th instant. Mr Prebble is in receipt of choice fruit, and fresh fish and oysters, and buys pickle bottles in any quantity. There is a new stock of Tartan ribbons at Blythe's clearing sale. Persons arc requested to try Walters' celebrated guinea trousers and four guinea suits; strong and solid workmanship; made by the best tailors in town ; great variety of tweed.
