The following are the results of the competition :— Class A.—Single furrow —Ist prize, champion cup and £2, H. Pulford; 2nd £2, U. Gray. . Class B.—Double or treble furrow—lst prizo, Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's prizo, valued at £10 10s, £5 added, G. Frost," 2nd, £4, J. Ramsey. Class C— Double or treble furrow, for men who have never won a first prize in double or treble furrow classes—lst £7, J. Hennessy (with Mr J. N. WillianW team); 2nd £4, C. Angus (with Mr Collins' team); 3rd, £2, R. Guthcrslone (with Mr J. D. Ormond's team). Class D.—Double-furrow, for boys tinder 18—1st prize £3, W. Ramsey. Tho following special prizes were also awarded: — Mangold sheer (given by Messrs Hardy and Sidey) to second prizetaker in class A.. U.Gray. ' Value for £2 (given by Mr J. M'Vay) for best kept harness, J. Ramsay. A prize value £2, for best opening in class B, C, or D, (given by Mr Bethell), J. Ramsay. Value for £2 (given by Mr W. 0. M'Leod, manager for Messrs Ruddock and Fryer), for the best finish in class B, C, or D, G. Frost. Teamster's whip, valued at £1 5s (given by Mr W. A. Beeeroft), for best driven team in class B, C, or D, R. Gutherstone. One dozen bridles, half for the best work in class D, and half for first finish in class B, C, or D, (given by Mr G. Roach), W. Ramsay, both prizes. Pair of Bedford cord trousers (given byMr P. S. Macdonald) for sf raightest wort? in class B, C, or D, G. Frost. Ploughman's sleeve waiscoat (given by Mr G. Benjamin, manager for New Zealand Clothing Factory) for best opening dpne with three horses, J. Hennessy.
