He entered a Bleecker street car on Thursday and he was very, very full. He was jolly, however, and ho winked at all the passengers, and as each neAv comer arrived he insisted upon placing the fare in the box. To do this he invariably fell over himself and then beg<red everybody's pardon. A young girl entered the car and looked around for a scat "Come, scourge up, girls," he said, in a jolly tone. "We're all one great big family. Scourge along'n if we caat do any berrer we'll pile in spoonfashion. Anyborry Avants tor set on my lap's perfectly AVelcome. Abater bit proud." All hands laughed and he arose, took off his hat and boAved. The driver looked through the door and said : ",Av yez don't behave ycr&elf I'll stand ye on ye're head." " 'Sail right," he answered politely, " go ri' straight ahead'n' don't borrerus. We're getting alone qu' nicely, thank you." Then a happy idea struck him. " By ther Avay !" he said, " tha' would bo a good idea. Less all stan' on our heads an' that'll make more room." He turned to a big Irish woman who sat next to him and said: "What dyer thinker that idee ? Less all stand on our heads. Less do stunts. I'll start off if you'l feller your master.' " He attempted to do it, but he had only got about half Avay up when the Irish woman grabbed him around the body, carried him to the door and dropped him over the back dash-board. He sat there until a policeman came along and then ho moved away muttering : " Jes' a feller's luck Avhen a feller Avants ter 'muse the crowd ter have some man Avot arn't got no fun in him come along an' spoil their whole circus. I belceA-e the man Avot hit mo is a memmer of some church an' can't see auv fun in nothin'."
