MR SHEEHAN'S FOOTBALL CUP.

[To the Editor op the Daily Telegeath.] Sic, —In your issue of Wednesday, the 2Gth May, I notice in a local that the final match for Mr Sheehan's cup is to be played on the Recreation Ground, Napier. It is obvious that tho game, to be played as aforesaid, does not meet the conditions under which tho cup was donated. The regulations under which Mr Sheehan's generous present was promised distinctly specify that all the matches must be played on the Petane ground. Any alteration must stultify tho matter, and I cannot help asking that the cup may be withdrawn if the present arrangements are to bo carried out. —I am, &c, W. A. RICHAEDSON. Petane, May 30, 1884.
