Consols remain at 10l£, and New Zealand securities at tho following quotations: — Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 10-i ; five per cent. 18S9 loan, 102|; four and a half per cent. 1879-190-1 loan, 102£ ; four per cent, inscribed stock, 100|~. Tho markets for colonial breadstuirs and tallow are without quotable change. At to-day's wool auction 12,300 bales were catalogued. The demand was steady, but not active. A poor selection of wools was offered. Melbourne, Tuesday. Tho Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage Agency Company of New Zealand reports of the local grain market as follows : —Wheal, 4/2 to 4/3, market quieter ; malting barley, 4/3 to 4/9, market strong ; New Zealand outs, feeding sorts firm at 2/11 to to 3/1, milling ditto active at 3/2 to 3/3; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2/6 to 2/8, market quiet.
