Steps are being taken to petition the Minister for Mines to send a thoroughly competent geologist to inspect or report upon the mineral resources of the Hororata district, where indications of copper have been found. Three directors of the Moa Creek Gold Company returned from a visit to the company's ground yesterday, and their report was of such a favorable nature that 3000 shares were at once withdrawn from sale.
