SHIPPING.

PORT OF NAPIER ARRIVALS. May. 26—Kawatiri, s.s., from Westport. 26—Neptune, brig, from Newcastle, N.S.W. 26—Kiwi, s.s., from Wellington. Passengers—Miss Moore, Master Moore, and Mr Chatfield. DEPARTURES. May. 26—Manaia, p.s., for Wairoa. Passengers— Messrs J. K. Goudy and several others. 26—Bella, a.s., for Wairoa. , The s.s. Kawatiri, Capatain W. Smith, arrived at the anchorage yesterday morning from Westport, with 406 tons of coal on board for the ship Northumberland. As the sea is luckily calm she hasbeen occupied since in transhipping her cargo direct to the ship, and it is expected she will have completed discharging by this evening and will in that case steam again for Westport during the night. The steamers Manaia and Bella steamed for Wairoa yesterday morning, taking cargo and passengers. The latter is to call at Mohaka on her way back. The s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Hutchison, arrived from Gisborne and Auckland on Sunday night, was brought inside and discharged yesterday, morning, and at once eteamed on her course for Wellington. The s.s. Kiwi, Capt. James Campbell, arrived in our roadstead last night from Wellington, which place she left on Thursday, 22nd inst., at G p.m. ; arrived at Castle point next day, but found sea too heavy to work till Saturday; did Akiteo and Cape Turnagain on Sunday and Monday, and arrived here at 11 o'clock last night. She was brought inside at 7 o'clock this morning to discharge her cargo, some 150 tons, at the breastwork. She is to steam hence for Wellington at 8 or 9 o'clock to-night. The brig Neptune arrived at the anchorage yesterday from Newcastle, New South Wales, with a load of coal for Messrs C. Dolbel and Co. She is to-day being lightered of a portion of her cargo by the Sir Donald, preparatory to being brought inside to discharge the balance at the breastwork.
