BREACH OF NEWSPAPER REGISTRATION ACT..
Wellington, This day. At the Magistrate's Court this morning Frederick Cooper, a compositor in the Government Printing Office, was fined £5 and costs for a breach of the Printers' and Newspapers Regulation Act, IS6B, by printing and*circulating a squib about the Thorndon election without attaching an imprint thereto.—Two seamen belonging to the Victory were fined £5 and £10 for assaulting the chief engineer of the steamer.
