FIRES.

Cheistchdbch, This day,

A six-roomed house at St. Albans Avas destroyed by fire last night. It belonged to Frederick Brown, of Opawa. It was formerly occupied by Mr Stewart, nurseryman, but was empty when burned. It is believed that it Avas insured, but the amount or the office could not be ascertained. A house that was burnt at Addington yesterday was insured in the London and Liverpool office for £200, and in the National office for £175.
