AVellixgtox, This day. The mail which was on board the steamer Kangaroo was lost. No attempt will be made to raise her in consequence) of tho uncertain weather and the strong tides generally prevalent at the spot. A. preliminary enquiry was held before the Col - lector of Customs yesterday, but little fresh evidence was adduced.
