The market rate of discount has further declined to 1 ; }-, and is now bolow the bank rates. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,300,000, a decline of £500,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is -18 per cent. New Zealand securities.—Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 103J-; five per cent 1889 loan, 102|, ex-div. ; four and a half per cent. 1879-190-1 loan, 101$; four per cent, inscribed stock, 99?r, ex-div. Colonial breadstuff's and tallow are without change. The stock of tallow in London is 9300 casks (Received May 3, 0.55 a.m.) Sybxet, Friday. New Zealand wheat has advanced to 3/10 ; New Zealand oats have fallen to 2/11 ; maize is quoted at G/3, an advance of 6d ; sugar, Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton £34. Adelide, Friday. Wheat remains at 3/10 to 3/11 nominally, and the market continues flat; flour, town brands £9 10/-, and country do £8 10/-, "with market dull. Freights to London, sailing- do/- to 10/-.
