Mr Jacobs has a variety of useful and ornamental gifts, and also a special arrival of footballs. Mr V. Jensen informs the public that Mr O'Neill has no connection with Mr R.--W. Jensen's watchmaking and jewellery establishment in Emerson-street, which is still being carried on. Mr Prebble has received a lino of smoked schnapper. The annual meeting of the Hastings Licensing Committee will take place in the office of the Town Board at Hastings on Wednesday, 4th June. N. G., office of this paper, has a fourroomed house on the hills to let. Messrs Collins and Co., jewellers, Hastings street, have the new patent "Pelican" ware, hand-painted and untaruishable. Persons trespassing on either side of the Saltwater Creek, Meanee, will be prosecuted. Mr T. J. Bowes has a small cottage at Taradale, with two or five acres of land, to let. Messrs Large and Townley, solo agents, have Brinsmeade pianos made from woods grown in liawke's Bay to arrive, and have other makers in stock. Mr Arthur Beecroft has lost tho run of customers from tho Railway Hotel, Hastings, aud finders of same will be rewarded on delivery. Messrs Blytho aud Co. have a new stock of sash ribbons. Messrs Hardy and Sidey have received a special assortment of lamps of newest design, imported direct from the manufacturers, and for sale at very cheap prices. Mr D. C. Hitchmanis selling lollies, &c., wholesale, at lowest rates, quality and purity guaranteed. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted" column.
