QUESTIONS IN HOUSE OF COMMONS REGARDING FRENCH CONVICT TRANSPORTATION. (Received April 2G, 11 a.m.) LONDON. April 25. It is announced that Mr Childers' proposals, set forth in his Budget speech last night, regarding tho issue of new halfsovereigns, Avill not affect tho Australian coinage. In tho House of Commons last night Lord Edmund Fitzmaurico, Under-Secre-tary for Foreign Affairs, in reply to questions, stated that tho Government, is aAvaiting further communication from the French Government on the subject of the recidivistes' question, and that no negotiations had taken place Avith tho German Government in reference to tho transportation of French Criminals to the Pacific.
