CHILD DESERTION.
Wellington, This day. Margaret Weir was brought up on remand at tho Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday charged with the desertion of a child at Duncdin some weeks ago, whereby its health might have been permanently injured. Chief' Detective Browne applied for a remand to Duncdin. The application was granted. The prisoner was again admitted to bail.
