The Napier-Welling-ton Railway will pass within 5 miles of Block XIV. Tho terminus of tho Railway when it reaches Tahoraito will bo eight miles from Kumoroa. The main roads through tho Block have been or are now being cleared of bush and formed for dray and horso traffic. Tho whole of the block is lightly timbered and contains some good agricultural and pastoral forest country. The soil is of a rich description overlying a marl and limestone formation.
