HAWKE'S BAY AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL SOCIETY. A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of Members will bo held on TUESDAY, 22nd inst., at 2 p.m., at the Society's Rooms, Tennyson-street, Napier, to consider the following memorandum from the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club :. — "That the Jockey Club agree to tho principles of joint occupation of tho land at Hastings on the basis proposed in the memorandum forwarded by the secretary of the A. and P. Society, dated 19th March, 1884, and that an arrangement should be entered into giving both societies such rights, and the perpetual use of such portions of the ground as may be essential to the function of either body, that to properly secure such advantages to both the actual area and position of land reserved, price per acre to be paid, and nil and every detail necessary can only be arrived at after careful consultation by representatives from the two societies acting under legal advice, and that Captain Russell and Messrs C. B. Winter and W. U. Burke be appointed to act with a similar number of representatives of the A. and P. Society, and the H.B. Jockey Club agree to be bound by any arrangement entered into by their representatives oi( condition that a similar arrangement bo 'entered into by the A. and i>. Society." By order, Wμ.
