Wednesday. The Navigation Board concluded its inquiry into tlie Adelaide-Wairarapa collision to-day, and delivered its decision. The Board found that the Adelaide, being the overtaken vessel, was bound by the regulations to keep out of the way of the Wairarapa, and that Capt. Lockyer was therefore responsible for the casualty. Taking into consideration the darkness and dangers of the channel, the Board considered if, highly reprehensible to proceed at sucha high" rate of speed, tho vessels being in dangerous proximity. The Board suspended the certificate of Capt. Lockyer for two months, and severely censured both masters, and cautioned themes to the future. Capt. Darling, nautical assessor, entered a protest against tho finding of the Board, being_ of opinion that both masters were responsible for the collision.
