The Artillery, Riilo Volunteers, and Band parade for Government drill iv front of the Athcmeum at 7.15 to-night. A meeting of the Artillery Volunteers will be held after parade to-night to elect a lieutenant and to arrange for new uniforms. The adjourned meeting of those interested in the formation of the Union Football Club will be held at the Clarendon Club Hotel at 8 o'clock to-night, when officers will be elected and rules adopted. Messrs Montcith and Co. will hold their usual fortnightly sale at Hastings tomorrow at 1.30 p.m., when a number of horses of various descriptions will be sold. Mr Lyndon holds his monthly land salo at Ms auction mart to-morrow at 2 p.m., when will be submitted to competition valuable properties in Napier, Taradale, Havolock, and "Woodville. Applications for the post of head master of the Woodvillo district school must be forwarded to Mr 11. B. Jackson, chairman of the committee, not later than to-morrow. Acceptances for the handicaps to be run at the Taradale sports on Monday next close to-morrow. Good Friday and Easter Monday will be observed ;m close holidays by members of the Holiday Association. Madame Summcrhayes' concert at Hastings is imavoidably postponed from Monday next until Friday, 18th instant. A special meeting of members of the 11.8. Agricultural and Pastoral Society is convened for Tuesday next, to consider a memorandum from the Jockey Club in reference to the racecourse. Tho Pctano Road Board wants tenders for about 50 chains of road work in Wharepunga Valley. The trustees of the late John Bicknell, Messrs S. Graham and T. A. Shirley, return thanks for past patronage to the firm, and announce that tho business will bo carried on as heretofore under their supervision. Tho finder of a Milner's key, which is lost, will be rewarded on leaving same at Daily Telegram office. Mrs Coham, milliner, will shortly pay a visit to Waipawa with a choice stock of millinery, underclothing , , baby linen, &c. A dozen young hens arc wanted at the Napier Hospital. Special discount for remnants is being given at Messrs Largo andTownley's clearing sale of carpets. Special attention is drawn to the large and well-selected stock of the New Zealand Clothing Factory's branches. Inspection solicited. Mr D. C. Hitchman is selling lollies, &c, wholesale, at lowest rates, quality and purity guaranteed. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted" column.
