The immigration and emigration returns for March aro as follows:—Auckland, arrivals Gl9, departures 290; Wellington, 042 and IGI ; Napier, 3 departures ; Greymouth, 30 departures ; Hokitika, 3 arrivals; Lyttelton, 1 arrival and IG2 departures; Dunedin, 34S and G ; Invcrcargill, 421 and 421 ; total, arrivals 1934, departures 1082. Of the arrivals 10G1 were from tho United Kingdom, 804 from the Australian colonies, 43 from Fiji, and 23 from Hawaii and the South Seas'; tho departures wcro 201 for the United Kingdom, SOl for the Australian colonies, 14 for Fiji, and GO for Hawaii and the South Seas. Tho Chinese had only one arrival, but 30 departures. No returns were received from Russell and Nelson.
