INQUEST.
Patea, This day. An inquest was held yesterday on tho bodies of Katherino Gardner and Thomas Lawrence who were drowned on Saturday. A verdict of accidental death was returned, a rider being added to the effect that the railway authorities, who have control over the wharf, should provide lights at night, and also life-buoys and grappling irons in case of emorgoncy. .; • ; - • :;
