Mr W. B. Edwards and Drs. Newman and Buller are mentioned as candidates for tho Thorndon scat. It is stated that a cablogram is to be sent to Mr Gisborne, in England, asking if he would bo willing to stand. Mr Gisborno is expected to return to Wellington shortly.
