The Board met this morning. Present: Commissioners Buchanan and?\vSutton, M.H.R.'s, Captain Russell, Mr Harding, and the Commissioner of Crown Lands. COIIHESI'ONDENDE. From chairman of Kumeroa Road Board, enclosing maps showing the roads on whioh it is proposed to expend a stated sum halfyearly out. of the giants from the sale of deferred payment lands.—lt was decided to inform the Road Board that the..Waste Lands Board did not consider their proposals tho best that could bo adopted, for it was quite probable that the payments from tho Treasury will vary from year to year as selectors pay up the balances of their purchase monios. Instead of approving of a half-yearly expenditure the Board will sanction a Jump.sum to be laid out on each road line, leaving to the Roadi Board to decide what amount shall be spent halfyearly on each line. From Thomas P. Hewitt, the selector on deferred payment section-13, Block VIL, Village of Kumera, asking whether he would be allowed to reside on an adjoining section on which he has built a house.— The necessary permission was granted. From Johan Wringer, requesting permission to cut on the Crown lands adjoining his selection sufficient timber, to; repair th_v boundary fence.—The necessary permission , was gran tod to. take timber, for fonoing, but not for sale.
