At tho inquest on the body of Michael Hogan, the victim of the Parnell fire, the jury returned a verdict of " Accidentally burned to death," adding that there was no evidence as to the origin of the fire. A rider was also added to the effect that it should be compulsory for boarding-houses of two and three stories in height to be provided with fire escapes or ropes in the upper stories.
