Two battalions of infantry that received orders on tho Sth instant to proceed from Aldershot to Malta and Gibraltar have em.barked at Portsmouth for their respective destinations. The battalion proceeding to Gibraltar will replace the 2nd Battalion of the Essex Regiment (oGthFoot), which reccntlv left that station for Alexandria.
