DISCOVERY OF GOLD REEF.

A gold-bearing reef was discovered yesterday at the .640 feet level of the Deep Level Cross mine. This is the greatest depth to which an unmistakeably auriferous lode has been traced in the district, and the discovery is regarded as one of the deepest importance.
