At a meeting of shareholders of the New Zealand Titanic Steel Company, held last night, it was decided, on the motion of Mr D. Anderson, to accept the sum of £3000 from the Government in liquidation of all claims in respect of the 5000 acres of land at Taranaki. Many of the shareholders expressed their surprise at the manner the Government had treated thorn. Mr D. T. Stuart was appointed auditor.
