PORT OF NAPIER

The Union Steamship Company's steamer Southern Cross is telegraphed as having left Auckland for the South at 7 o'clock last night, having some 44 tons of cargo on board for this port. Sue is due here on Thursday morning, and after discharging inside is announced to steam for Wellington the same day. The s.s. Kiwi is to leave Wellington _ for coastal stations and Napier this evening, and should reach here on Thursday mornins*. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley has cleared at the Customs for Newcastle, N.S.W., in ballast, and will sail at an early opportunity. ~,.,. , The steamer Maori leaves for Wairoa at 10 o'clock to-night. In our report of the ship Piako's departure for London yesterday, we omitted to mention Mr ani Mrs Moore and infant as passengers. The p.s. Manaia is to steam for Wairoa at 12 o'clock to-night, with passengers and cargo.
