. February. 23 —Go-Ahead, s.s., for Wellington. 23—Mauapouri, s.s., for Melbourne via Wellington and Southern ports. Passengers—Miss Muddle, Mesdames Kinross child and nurse, and Sinvthe, Messrs Halstead, Kinross, Sheddan, Abrornach, Lucas, Mowbray, Perres, Bryan, and three steerage. 23—Tarawera, s.s., for Sydney via Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers—Miss England, Mesdarnes Cowper, Cornford and 2 children, Orr ; Messrs Gilliard, Leston, Thirlaw, Beattie, Boyle, Locke, Gillies, Wallis, Cowper, Joel, Williams, Parker, Cowper, Sellars, Gold smith, Good, Berry, Page, Skelton, Westrup, Morrison, and seven steerage.

The Union Company's steamer Tarawera, Capt. Sinclair, from Melbouruoand Southern ports, arrived here shortly after 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and was soon afterwards tendered by the launch for passengers, atid the lighters for her cargo, some 110 tons. The outward mails and passengers were taken off by the launch Boojum at 7 o'clock, the Tarawera steaming on her course northwards at 8 p.m. The p.s. Manaia, which left here on Saturday morning, returned to port again from Wairoa at 0.45 p.m. on Saturday.

The s.s Go-Ahead, Captain Plumley, steamed again for Wellington at about 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon.

The outward passengers for the s.s. Munapouri were taken off by the launch at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, the steamer quitting the bay for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne at 3 p.m.

Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Titrakina, Captain R. Power, arrived at the ballast ground yesterday morning, after a six days passage from Auckland. She will throw overboard her surplus ballast before being brought into tho anchorage, where she will take in her cargo of frozen meat, wool, tallow, and other produce. The steamer Kiwi is to leave Wellington for the coast and Napier to-morrow evening.

Tho fore-and-aft schooner Saucy Kate, timber leaden for Mr J. Holt, Port Ahuriri, from Mercury Bay, arrived in port at about 9 o'clock last night, and was brought inside by tho pilot at noon to-day.

SHIP PIAKO FOR LONDON,

The New Zealand Shipping ship Pinko, Captain Findhty, which cleared at the Custom House for London on Saturday afternoon, was got under way by the pilot at 9 o'clock last night, and when he left her shortly before 10 p.m. she was well clear of tho bay and making good progress before a fresh westerly breeze. Her cargo consists of 4217 bales and 657 quarter-bales of wool, 14 bales of sheep skins, 193 casks of tallow, and 21 casks of pelts, shipped and valued as follows : — Shipped by Messrs Wardrop £ s. d. and C 0.—243 bales of wool, vi-lucdat 3,412 13 6 Shipped by Messrs Murray, Roberts and C 0.—472 bales of wool, 656 quarter-bales of wool, and 2 bales of skins, valued at 0,112 7 8 Shipped by Mr F. (Received February 25, 1 p.m.) Adelaide, This day. Arrived, on Saturday, Orient steamship John Elder, with tho mails via Suez and Erindisi which left London on January 18.

|_BY TELEGRAPH.] Auckland, This day. Tho barquo St. Laurence, from Sydney to Paget Sound, Oregon, put in here yesterday. Captain Webster reports that he left Sydney on January 20th in ballast, and met with a heavy gale on February 8. Tho ballast shifted, the vessel went on her beam ends, took in water, and tho pumps refused duty. The vessel was in a perilous condition till the 12th, when the gale abated. The vessel is apparently severely struined, and will probably be docked here. Arrived, Bronhilda, ship, Captain Johnston, 74 days out from London.
