ARSON AND BIGAMY. —COMMITTALS FOR TRIAL.

Auckland, This day. At the Police Court yesterday Henry Wood, described as a vagrant, was committed for trial on tho charge of setting fire to Mr M'Dell's house at Mount Eden-road. Christchurch, This day. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday Chas. Parker was committed for trial on the charge of bigamy. The evidence for tho prosecution was that the accused was married to Mary Foley in 1875, separated from her in 1576, and married Susan Doherty in 1883. The first wife was seen by tho second wife after the second marriage. The defence was reserved.
