SUPREME COURT.—CIVIL CASE.

Wellington, This day. In the Supremo Court on Saturday the case of Regina, v. the Hon. John Martin, M.L.C., was heard before Judge Richmond. It was a suit brought to recover £500 damages in respect to a small piece of land forming a portion of the approach to tho Hutt bridge, which, it was alleged, defendant had many years ago sold and conveyed to the Provincial Government, but the conveyance not having been registered, defendant had since obtained a title to it under the Land Transfer Act and resold to another party. All the evidence on each side was taken, and the law points were adjourned for argument in banco.
