HAWKE'S BAY RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
There was a large attendance at "the Protestant Hall last evening to witness the presentation of prizes to the'successful competitors at the lato meeting. Amqng , those present were Major Butts and Mr It, J), --j McLean, Vice-President of the Association. A telegram was read from" Captain Russell apologising for his absence on the ground of private business. The following is a list of-the prizes and winners :—
First Match.—Firstprize, president's gold medal and £2, Beck ; : second, £3 10s, Ross ; third, £2 ■ 10s, Chambers ; fourth, cniet sot, presented by S. E.
