Dunkdin, This day. A case in the Supreme Court in which Walter Searle and F. Fulton claimed £1800 from the New Zealand Insurance Company as insurance- on the cargo of the Ulysses from Oamaru which was wrecked in Torres Strait, was brought to a conclusion yesterday. The jury, in accordance with the Judge's tUro'otians, gave their assessment of damages both upon particular and general average and gave the following verdict: —: Particular average, £\o9 18s with 0. por cent, intorest from the 19th of September, 1879, or genoral average £1116 9s 9d, with similar interest. Leave was given to move to ontor a nonsuit for a new trial.
