EDWARDS, PEDESTRIAN CHARGED WITH PERJURY.

At the Police Court yesterday EdAvards, tho pedestrian, was charged with committing wilful and corrupt perjury by swearing at the R.M. Court on Monday that his si °naturo to a cheque Avas a forgery. It was stated that a warrant had been issued in AVellingtoii for his arrest. The Court decided, howevor, in tho absenco_ of the warrant, that it could not take action on a fc elcgram, aud dismissed the case. Edwards Hailed by the mail steadier for 'Frisco yesterday aftornoou.
