At the Police Court yesterday EdAvards, tho pedestrian, was charged with committing wilful and corrupt perjury by swearing at the R.M. Court on Monday that his si °naturo to a cheque Avas a forgery. It was stated that a warrant had been issued in AVellingtoii for his arrest. The Court decided, howevor, in tho absenco_ of the warrant, that it could not take action on a fc elcgram, aud dismissed the case.
