January 7. The steamship Duke of which recently went ashore at the Isle of Wight, still lies stranded, and is in a most critical position. The cargo is being rapidly removed, iv view of the possibility of the vessel brcukiny up. Later. The steamship Duke of Westminster has been abandoned by her owners.
