A vocal and instrumental concert and the cantata "Trial by Jury" will bo performed at the Theatro Royal to-night. The members of the Hawke's Bay Club hold their quarterly meeting at 8 o'clock to-night. . Mr"Ryan sells by auction at his mart at 11 a.m. to-morrow a quantity of furniture and an artesian well sinking plant. Mr Monteith sells hacks and trap horses, spring cart, tip drays, ifcc, by auction at the Horse Bazaar at 11.30 a.m. to-morrow. Tenders for erecting a five-roomed house in Napier must be sent in to Mr R. Lamb by to-morrow. "The Southern Cross Petroleum Company make another call of threepence a share, payable at the company's office in Christchurch on Wednesday next. A foot race for £5 a side will be run on tie recreation ground on Saturday, 12th instant, between J. McGrath and F. Collins. Mr Charles Farmery offers £1 reward for the recovery of a bay horse, lost from Hastings. Madame Politz recommences teachinginstrumental music and singing on the 17th instant. Messrs A. 11. Hopkinson and George Smith, of Hastings, livery stable keepers, have dissolved partnership, and Mr Hopkinson will carry on the business as usual. Accounts owing to and by the late firm will be recoived and settled by Mr J. Collingc. Mr Alexander Browne, Hastings-street, is now making his second show for the summer, and quotes prices for several lines of drapery now offering. Mrs'Coham, milliner, has received another case of straw goods, which will bo sold at cost price. Messrs Blythe and Co. are in receipt of a complete assortment of liollins' calicoes aud sheetings. A number of now advertisements will be found in our " Wanted " column.
