Tho agricultural reporter of the Leader estimates tho yield of wheat in Victoria for tho present season at 14,900,000 bushels, being au average of llj- bushels to the acre. The quantity uvailable for export is estimated at 8,150,000 bushels. The New Zealand and Mercantlo Agency Company havo resumed their series of wool auctions after tho holidays, Tho catalogue to-day comprised 4000 bales, tho bulk consisting of small parcels of medium to inferior wools. There was a large attendance of buyers, and brisk competition experienced. Choice and medium wools were in good demand, and prices were firmly maintained. Nearly all the lots wero sold at satisfactory prices, but owing to the length of the catalogue parcels of scoured and fleece havo been held over until to-morrow.
