MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF A MAN.

Ixvercakgill, This day

An inquiry was hold at the Bluff on Tuesday before tho Collector of Customs concerning the disappearance of a passenger from the s.s. Tarawera during the passage from Hobart to tho Bluff. The evidence went to show that tho man in question, John Henry Dallmeyer, had been in charge of a doctor and servant, being of unsound mind, and that he was missed on the 30th December. Strict search was made, but he could not bo found, and it was concluded that he either fell or throw himself overboard.
