SOME blackguard in Napier with more. > malice than wit has imposed upon us a bogus report of an alleged marriage between two highly respectable residents, Mr. Charles Ellison and Miss A. Bell. In view of tho steps taken to identify the author of the silly outrage, wo have abstained from any comment on the matter, but wo regi-et exceedingly that in accepting in good faith what appeared to be a bona fide report, we have unwittingly been made a vehicle for giving pain to two highly respected families.
