SERIOUS RIOT BETWEEN ORANGEMEN AND CATHOLICS IN NEWFOUNDLAND.

A report is current to-day that the French Government intends to hold tho Chinese Government answerable for aziy expenses France may incur iti despatching troops to Tonquin, in consequence of the hostile attitude of China in that country.
Telegrams are to hand from Newfoundland announcing that a serious riot has occurred in tho harbor of Grace, a port in Conception Bay, between Orangemen and Catholics. Tho rival parties numbered several hundred, and fighting was carried on for some time Three of the contestants were killed and a number seriously wounded iv the iilfrav.
