Commander, Will be despatched as above in DECEMBER. This fine steamer, now on her maiden voyage, has been specially built for the New Zealand trade by Messrs. John Elder and Sons, of Glasgow, a firm famous for turning out the fastest boats of the age. No expense has been spared in rendering her passage accommodation equal to that of any steamer allout. Lithographed plans of her various saloons, &c, can bo seen at any of the Company s offices. She is specially timed to catch the FEBRUARY SALES, and will report at Madeira with that object. As she has II largo portion of her cargo engaged at Port Chalmers (her first port of call) her space for wool will be limited, and early application for space is advisable. _ _ It is intonded that, weather permitting, she shall go through the Straits of Magellan and call at the beautiful harbor of Rio dc Janeiro. To bo followed the magnificent steamship— BRITISH KING, 3599 tons register, 2000 horse-power, J. Kelly, Commander. This steamer will also bo despatched for the— February Salts, And as a largo portion of her homeward uin'o will be shipped at Wellington, it will be necessary for intending shippers to secure her remaining space promptly. H3G EANGITIKEI . . 1227 THESE magnificent clippers are of the highest class of Lloyd's, purchased or built specially to meet the requirements of the trade between the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The saloon and state cabins arc superbly fitted and arranged and provided with every requisite for the comfort of tho-passengers, who are provided with bedding and all cabin fittings. The dietary scale is most liberal. Second-class and steerage accommodation is all that could be desired, and the ships arc commanded by experienced masters. The Company also charters ships of the highest class as required, and vessels are despatched from London to each of tho principal ports of the colony with strict punctuality every month. The Company has also ships loading homeward from New Zealand. LIVERPOOL AGENCY. A Branch has been established in Liverpool, and vessels will be despatched at suitable intervals to the principals ports in New Zealand. NEW YORK AGENCY. Me»HTB R. W. Cameron and Co. have been appointed. Agents for this Company, and a regular lino of vessels will bo laid on for tho various ports in this colony to meet tho requirements of tho trade. Arrangements for tu o passages of friends to and fro from tho colony, and also for the conveyance of cargo can "be made at the Head Office, Christchurch or at any of the Branches in the colony. D.
