HAWKE'S BAY RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
[by telephone.] The annual prize firing of the above association was commenced at Petane yesterday, and is being continued to-day. Tho following are the prize-takers in the order of merit: —
First -latch.—Beck, Ross, Chambers, Blackwell, Balsillie, and Langhan. Second Match. — Grossman, Joseph Chicken, King, Ross, J. W. Williams, and Villers.
Third Match.—Wilson, H. Williams, W. Duncan, Ross, Beck, Blackwell, Frame, and
Pram
Fourth Match.—Crossman, Ross, John Chicken, Wilson, Laing, Pram, H. Williams, and Hooper. The aggregate is not yet completed, but Ross is leading at present.
