Nominations to be made before the start for the Hack Race, and acceptances to be notified to the Clork of the Scales not later than 15 minutes after declaration of the weights. > Rules and Regulations. < No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they ' may appoint, and their decision upon all ' points shall be final. No qualification fee. 3 Tho rules and weights of the Hawke's 5 Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. 3 Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. All nominations, acceptances, and general entries, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on the several undernoted dates. "Hack Hurdle Horse " is a. horse that has never started in a wcight-for-agc or handicap hurdle race or steeplechase.
