December 19—Lizzie Guy, brigantine, for Tauranga. 20—Maori, s.s., for AVairoa, ivith four passengers.
The brigantine Lizzie Guy Avas towed outside last evening by tho Boojum, and sailed for Tauranga with a part original cargo of flour. The steamer Kiwi, Capt. J. Campbell, arrived here from AVellington at 4' o'clock this morning, and Avas berthed inside at the breastwork by 6.30 a.m. Sho left Wellington at 10 o'clock on Monday night; called iv at Akitoo next morning ; landed passengers, and proceeded to Castle Point, where she remained until the folloAving morning; left at 8 a.m., and called at Capo Turnag-ain with cargo and passengers, and arrived here as above. Sho brings 185 tons of cargo for here, which she will discharge duriug tho day, and is to steam for AVellington and tho const to-night. Tho steamer Sir Donald, Captain Quintan, returned from Blackhead tins morning with 101 bales of avool, 10 sacks of fungus, and 10 hides. She will lie leaving for Waimarama to-night if the Aveather holds fine. The p.s. Manaia, Captain Baxter, returned from AVairoa at 12.15 p.m. to-day, bringing several passengers. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, got aivay for Wairoa. at 12.45 this morning, taking four passengers and a good cargo. Tho Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, from Auckland, will be leaving Gisborne to-jiii;lit, bciii.tr expected to arrive here tho first thing to-morrow morning. The Neiv Zealand Shipping Company aro advised by cable that the lonic reached Rio dc Janiero on tho 15th inst., and snilcd on the 17th. Her passage from Lyttelton was tho fastest on record—only twenty clays. The frozen meat is reported to be in prime condition.
